When Ashley & Travis first spoke to me about their Seattle backyard wedding one of their main goals was for it to be fun, intimate and have lots and lots of GREEN. Lucky for me I LOVE green. And boy, did this wedding not disappoint. It was absolutely everything that Ashley had envisioned, her and Travis’ families sure did put in the work and pull out all the stops to make this day absolutely amazing for the two of them.
Ashley and her Father clearly had a special bond, and their first look together was so sweet and heartfelt. They both cried and then laughed about their hankies saying to keep their shit together because CLEARLY it was going to be a day of lots of emotions. It was so amazing to see how Ashley’s dad took care of her on her wedding day, offering up his property, helping build her an arch, inviting everyone into their home and all around being calm, collected, and loving the whole entire day.
It’s weddings like this that remind you that family (wether it’s blood or chosen) truly truly matters.
During their ceremony Travis gave the BEST spur of the moment vows, he had everyone in tears and laughter. The way these two look at each other is just EVERYTHING.
They finished their day with some wild dancing (complete with cardboard cutouts on the dance floor, check it out!), lots of love from friends and family, and a night of camping in the lower lot of the house.
What a dang day!
