HOW IT ALL STARTED
My journey with photography started when I was in junior high school. My triplet sister got into photography first and we both got into photographing our Blythe Dolls (google them!). It was a bit silly to be honest but we enjoyed setting up scenes with our dolls, making them clothes, and running about with them. After that I was my sisters model for a long time with less interest in actually doing photography myself. But once high school started I would sneak her camera when she wasn't looking and I began taking photos of friends and doing self portraits. Eventually she upgraded and I got her first DSLR to call my own! To this day I still find it so incredibly therapeutic to do self portraits, and it's what I usually get up to when I'm somewhere beautiful. To be honest I never dreamed of shooting something as wonderful and big as a wedding! In fact there was a point where I swore I wouldn't. But there came a time where I felt the universe was sending me signs to at least give it a shot, and it turns out that I absolutely love being there to document and celebrate wedding days! Sometimes the best kind of loves are the unexpected ones, am I right?
HERE ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE SELF PORTRAITS
• 1. I'm a total cat person!
I'm sorry but it's true.
But OK OK I admit it Dogs are cool too, and yes you should definitely bring your pup to your shoot with you! Bonus points if you dress them up...just saying. Extra bonus points if you can convince your cat to come, this would literally make my life.
• 2. Aside from photography I'm also a dance teacher!
So if you have a dance floor at your wedding I WILL be getting on that floor at some point. And YES I do know the thriller dance, and YES I can lead everybody in doing it with me!
• 3. While growing up my parents took us kids backpacking every summer
Those memories have instilled an absolute love of the great outdoors in me! I love camping and being out in nature. Outdoor weddings are my JAM and adventure sessions are my FAVE!
• 4. I love painting with Bob Ross
• 5. I have a ridiculous sock collection
Like an entire drawer of neatly folded socks all in rows the Kon Mari way (if you haven't read "the life changing magic of tidying up" do it!). I fully believe funny socks are the best gift you can give, the more ridiculous the better!!
